IMPACT ON EDUCATION
formerly the Foundation for Boulder Valley Schools, was launched in 1983 by community leaders dedicated to excellence in public education. In the ensuing years, the organization has raised and invested over $3.17 million to positively impact over 305,000 students in the Boulder Valley School District. In 2007-08, our program impact totaled $964,522.

Over the years, our organization has evolved its mission and programs in response to the needs of students and educators, and the interests of our donors. In the spring of 2004, realizing that shifting demographics, unfunded federal mandates and public-funding shortages have changed the environment since we last prepared a comprehensive plan, we invited hundreds of educators, administrators, parents, students, donors and leaders from all the BVSD communities to share their concerns and to offer suggestions. Their recommendations became the impetus to update our mission and change our name and tagline to Impact on Education, Community Partnership for Boulder Valley Public Schools. We also revamped our programming and aggressively grew revenue to address growing needs.
