Why I work at Impact on Education:
Simply put, I want to work somewhere where I can make a difference. I believe that education can change the trajectory of your life. It is power. And it is something that no one can take away from you. I love being a small part of ensuring that all children can gain access to this power.
What makes me smile:
Watching my preschooler take-hold of a new concept. Listening to the sound of the rain (not so much here in Colorado). Doing just about anything outside (weeding excluded)!
The importance of education:
Throughout my career as a fundraiser I’ve worked with many teachers and administrators to raise money to ensure that more children have access to high-quality educational opportunities. I am continuously amazed and inspired by the work teachers and the impact they have on their students.
More about me:
After spending several years as a military family my husband and I moved to Colorado in 2014. We wanted to live somewhere that wrapped up all of our favorite things about the places we’d lived and we thought North Boulder was pretty close. We now have two kids, a dog and a house in Erie! I’ve worked in resource development (AKA fundraising) for 15 years! I love the art and science of fundraising but my favorite part of this job is helping donors to build relationships with the organizations they love!
Ask me about:
Growing up on an island in the Caribbean Sea, my struggle to make the perfect homemade ice cream and working with animals.
