The Student Advisory Board (SAB) is a fun and collaborative leadership experience for Boulder Valley School District (BVSD) high school students.
We launched this program in 2019 to help advise our efforts and guide our investments. Our Student Advisory Board brings together students currently enrolled in Boulder Valley’s 13 high schools to share their perspectives and insights and create an initiative focused on an issue of importance to them.
Some discussion topics include:
How does BVSD most need to innovate?
What kinds of classes or skills are BVSD students missing or do BVSD students need?
What barriers or challenges do students in BVSD face?
How can Impact on Education continue to support the school district, its schools, and its students?
The Student Advisory Board:
is a year-long commitment,
meets once a month during the school year, and
accepts applications in the fall from any currently enrolled BVSD high school student.
Students must be committed to sharing their school observations and experiences and driven to improve both their own schools and BVSD as a district.
