Impact on Education welcomes new board leadership and members

Our board of directors plays an important role in ensuring that every Boulder Valley student has what they need to make the most of their education. As we begin the new fiscal year, we’re excited to introduce the new leadership and members who joined our board this spring.
A new chapter of board leadership
Revellion Brands marketing executive Jen Sterling has been named board chair, succeeding Bill De La Cruz. Since joining the board 5 years ago, Jen has helped shape key initiatives and strategic priorities that support students across the Boulder Valley School District (BVSD). Her business and creative acumen have been an asset to the board throughout her tenure.
“I’m proud to be part of Impact on Education,” said Board Chair Jen Sterling. “What sets them apart is focus. Its leadership built a bold strategic direction aimed squarely at the students facing the steepest financial barriers, so that a family’s income doesn’t decide a child’s future. It is an honor to be part of this amazing organization that is, and continues to, make a lasting mark on this community.”
Welcoming new board members
Joining the board are Marcia Segall, president of Catalyze Partners Foundation; Ned Harding, retired technology executive and co-founder of Alteryx; and Paola Ledesma, immigration attorney and founder of Ledesma Immigration Law Office. Together, they bring deep expertise in philanthropy, technology, and community engagement that will help strengthen our work.
“We’re building a board that reflects a wide range of expertise and experiences,” said Jen. “These leaders bring valuable perspectives, strong community connections and a shared belief that every student deserves access to opportunities that help them thrive.”
Ned Harding
Ned is a technology innovator, retired executive and philanthropist who co-founded Alteryx and served as its Chief Technology Officer through the company’s initial public offering. His career spans software development, business leadership, finance, and nonprofit board service, including board service with Colorado Public Radio and Lauf Cycle. He brings financial expertise and governance experience to the board.
Paola Ledesma
Paola is an immigration attorney and founder of Ledesma Immigration Law Office. A Duke Law LL.M. graduate Paola combines legal expertise with her commitment to community engagement. Originally from Culiacán, Mexico, Paola participated at the Boulder Valley School District’s Latinx Parent Advisory Committee, the High Peaks Education Team and has had speaking roles across the Denver metro area. She brings strong connections to BVSD families and experience in advocacy, fundraising, and community partnership-building to the board.
Marcia Segall
Marcia is a philanthropic leader and active community volunteer who serves as president of Catalyze Partners Foundation. She previously chaired the Boulder Jewish Community Center’s board of directors. With a background in major gifts fundraising at University of Colorado law school and the Denver Scholarship Foundation, she has extensive experience in development, nonprofit governance and strategic planning.
Honoring past leadership and service
As we welcome new members to the board, we also want to thank Bill De La Cruz, past board chair and current member. We also want to thank former board members Callie Weiant and Dan Konigsberg for their service. During their time on the board, our organization experienced substantial growth and expanded its impact across the district.
With strong support from our board and community, Impact on Education is well positioned for its next chapter of growth and impact for local students.
