The Role
The Senior Marketing & Communications Associate is a new role created to ensure marketing and communications projects are executed with brand consistency, quality, and an attention to detail as the organization grows. The role is full-time and Non-Exempt. This position will be responsible for producing a variety of content, coordinating campaigns and communications logistics, and executing projects under the strategic direction of the Director of Marketing & Communications. Our work is seasonal so this role’s priorities, projects, and daily tasks may shift depending on the time of year.
The successful candidate will blend creativity, adaptability and motivation with proven capacities in copy writing, aesthetics and digital marketing. The role requires someone who can manage multiple priorities, take initiative and move work forward in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Content Production & Channel Management
- Draft and edit, photograph, and/or film content for events, fundraising appeals, the website, social media, and emails
- Maintain and update outreach materials including slide decks, flyers, and digital assets to ensure staff are equipped for community-facing outreach.
- Execute quick-turnaround and simple graphics projects such as social media content, flyers, or adapting existing designs for event collateral (advanced graphic design for complex and high-stakes projects contracted out)
- Draft scripts, ads, promotional emails, slides, shot lists, and print materials for events
- Execute day-to-day management of digital platforms, including social media, emailing marketing, monthly newsletter and event promotion
Earned & Paid Media Support
- Assist with media relations: pitching stories, drafting press releases, and coordinating executive approvals and interviews
- Draft and coordinate placement of digital and print ads
Production Coordination & Marketing Operations
- Gather media consent forms and interviewee content approvals; schedule pre-interviews and coordinate schedules for video shoot days
- Regularly review automated email journeys, ensuring all workflows are technically sound, correctly segmented, and content is up-to-date
- Manage the day-to-day technical functions of our digital platforms, streamline campaign workflows, and coordinate with technical partners
- Assist with client-side event and logistics decisions with support from an external firm and/or other teammates on an as needed basis

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field, or 3+ years of relevant experience.
- A background in content creation, email marketing and social media management experience.
- Experience coordinating and managing logistics, projects and/or events.
- Sharp eye for visuals and aesthetics, with the ability to create engaging, on-brand graphics.
- Outstanding organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge and experience of software and systems including: Mailchimp, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, WordPress, Canva, Fundraiseup, Asana, Adobe Creative Cloud, Bloomerang.
- PR/media relations and digital marketing experience is a plus.
What We Can Offer You
- Hiring Range of: $60,000 – $70,000
- Hybrid scheduling consisting of M, W, and some Th in office, or as schedules require.

Work Environment & Schedule
Impact on Education’s offices are located in Louisville, Colorado. The role is hybrid and requires occasional evening or weekend hours to support events. The physical requirements are prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
