Why I work at Impact on Education:
When I was a kid, I thought I would grow up to become an art teacher. Although that is not exactly what happened, I have done educational work throughout my career. I believe in the core values of Impact on Education, and especially the work we do to address systemic barriers.

What makes me smile:
Music, nature, dear friends, sarcasm.

Favorite teacher:
My second grade teacher Mrs. Headley is someone I often remember. She noticed my love for arts and helped me nurture my creative side. She also supported me in learning to write. Her kindness and encouragement have always stayed with me.

More about me:
I moved to Boulder when I was 18 years old to attend the University of Colorado. I have stayed in Boulder County since then, with the exception of some time living and working abroad over the years. Now, I work part time at Impact on Education, and part time as a professional counselor and artist in the community. In my free time I love to be outside, or at home relaxing.

Ask me about:
Painting and weaving, gardening and farming, archery, soup recipes.
