The Classroom Innovation Grant (CIG) program focuses on instructional innovation to enhance student learning in the classroom. Innovation pertains to instructional content, procedure/delivery, and outcome and fulfills a void or unique need to be addressed with or without technology use. The cornerstone of this program is focused on instructional and learning innovations. CIG’s are available to all educators Pre-K, elementary, middle, charter, and high schools in the Boulder Valley School District (BVSD). Grants are awarded to individual teachers (up to $600) or collaborative teams of teachers (up to $1,200).

For the 2020-21 school year, in light of the challenges that COVID-19 is presenting to our school district, schools, educators, and students, Impact on Education is not offering Classroom Innovation Grants. Instead, we are supporting student learning in other ways such as providing reliable internet, devices, and school supplies, including headsets with mics for all students, and we are supporting the district student engagement team in their incredible efforts to maintain and increase student participation and engagement whether learning takes place in-person or remotely.

We look forward to being able to reintroduce our CIG program in spring 2021 for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year.
