Meeting the mental health needs of students and educators
BVSD School After Care supervisory staff will receive six hours of professional development in Calming Kids Mindfulness and Yoga to help them manage student mental health needs and their own.

When the community support public education, we can work together to strengthen the Boulder Valley School District.

Boulder Valley School District
Our relationship with the Boulder Valley School District (BVSD) is a special one. We have different roles in public education, but our goals for students are the same. Our staff coordinates with BVSD educators and administrators on a daily basis to deliver programs. BVSD Superintendent Dr. Anderson also serves as an Ex Officio member of our Board of Directors.
Boulder Valley Educational Association
We’re grateful to partner with the Boulder Valley Education Association (BVEA) so that the voice of BVSD’s educators is included in our decisions. BVEA also helps us share information about funding opportunities and programs with BVSD educators. BVEA President Patty Delgado also serves as an Ex Officio member of our Board of Directors.
Renée Crown Wellness Institute
University of Colorado Boulder
The Renée Crown Wellness Institute evaluates the six Wellness Centers Impact on Education funds in BVSD high schools. We work together to ensure BVSD students have access to mental health support during the school day.
Arly Kruse Educational Foundation
Our partnership with the Arly Kruse Education Foundation supports supplemental reading and math instruction and tutoring for elementary school students in need of intervention.
Boulder Chamber
We regularly partner with the Boulder Chamber on programs that include business partners and focus on career readiness. We also exchange sponsorships in order to be a member of the Chamber and our Executive Director serves on the Chamber’s Community Affairs Committee.
City of Boulder
The City of Boulder supported our programs by partnering with us to deploy 500 hotspots to BVSD families, ensuring reliable internet access during the COVID pandemic and beyond. We’ve also partnered with the Housing and Human Services department to provide mental health training to BVSD School After Care supervisors.
City of Louisville
The City of Louisville has provided grant funding to support Impact on Education’s programs and operations for over 10 years.
Prairie Mountain Media
Our media partner helps us share vital information about our programs and the Boulder Valley School District in The Daily Camera, Broomfield Enterprise, Colorado Hometown Weekly and other news outlets. The partnership allows us to raise awareness of our programs and celebrate the successes of students and educators in our community.
Boulder Housing Partners
Our partnership with Boulder Housing Partners (BHP) provides local children living in their public housing communities with summer literacy and numeracy instruction to boost preschool enrollment and kindergarten readiness.

Since 1983, we’ve provided supplemental funding and resources to students and educators in order to expand what’s possible in education. Our programs and investments help ensure students who are facing the greatest barriers to success have access to the same learning opportunities as their peers.

We consolidated the Student Academic Support Fund and Classroom Innovation Grants into a single funding source that will allow us to meet both student and educator needs on a case-by-case basis.
31 Preschoolers Learned Key Skills this Summer
This year’s Summer Shuffle program prepared 31 preschoolers for BVSD classrooms by teaching them literacy, numeracy and executive functioning skills.
